THE SPIRITS SPEAK

African Masks in Dance and Display

Come see the glory, beauty and wonderment of African masks in a special benefit dance production by Afriky Lolo. Dancers will wear a variety of West African masks from Mali, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso. Afriky Lolo’s vast collection of masks and costumes will also be on exhibition.

The Spirit Speaks is a benefit concert for Afriky Lolo, which was recently selected to participate in the notable DanceAfrica 2012, a nationally renowned festival celebrating dance of the African Diaspora. All proceeds will support Afriky Lolo’s participation in DanceAfrica and its year-round programming.
